SpoofGuard is een iPhone-app die helpt bij het herkennen van telefoon- en sms-spoofing in Nederland. De app wordt uitgegeven door Alpha Pulse B.V., gevestigd in Nederland (hierna "wij"). Wij zijn de verwerkingsverantwoordelijke in de zin van de AVG. Deze verklaring legt uit welke gegevens de app gebruikt en — vooral — welke niet.
SpoofGuard verzamelt geen gegevens en verstuurt niets. De app heeft geen server, geen account, geen analytics en geen advertenties. Alles wat je invoert blijft op je eigen iPhone, in de opslag die Apple voor de app reserveert. Wij kunnen die gegevens niet inzien.

Verwijder je de app, dan verdwijnen deze gegevens mee.
Als je een nummer aan de lijst toevoegt, kan de app vragen om toegang tot je Contacten. Dat is uitsluitend om je te waarschuwen wanneer dat nummer in je Contacten staat — iOS toont dan namelijk altijd de contactkaart en negeert elke belfilter-app. De vergelijking gebeurt op het toestel. De app leest, bewaart, kopieert of verstuurt je contacten niet, en de app werkt ook zonder deze toegang.
De sms-filter beoordeelt berichten van onbekende afzenders op je toestel. Apple's regels voor sms-filterextensies verbieden technisch dat zo'n extensie berichten bewaart of naar een netwerk stuurt; SpoofGuard doet dat dan ook niet. Berichten van mensen in je Contacten krijgt de filter nooit te zien.
Kies je SpoofGuard als meld-app, dan kun je een oproep of bericht melden via "Rapporteer ongewenst". Die melding wordt alleen op je toestel bewaard. Kies je daarbij "Ook op Apple's blokkeerlijst zetten", dan voert iOS zelf die blokkade uit; SpoofGuard verstuurt zelf niets.
De app bevat een kopie van het openbare Register van toegekende telefoonnummers van de Autoriteit Consument & Markt (open data, licentie CC0). Daarmee kan de app op het toestel tonen aan welke organisatie een 0800-, 088-, 0900- of 14xx-nummer is toegekend. Er wordt hiervoor niets opgezocht via internet.
Bij een controle staan knoppen naar websites van derden (zoals tellows.nl en een zoekmachine). Tik je daarop, dan opent Safari die site; vanaf dat moment geldt de privacyverklaring van die site. De app stuurt zelf niets naar die sites.
SpoofGuard bevat geen code die verbinding maakt met een server. Er is niets om te delen, te verkopen of te lekken.
De app is niet gericht op kinderen en verzamelt van niemand gegevens.
Komt er in een latere versie een functie bij waarbij gegevens het toestel wél verlaten (bijvoorbeeld het vrijwillig delen van meldingen met andere gebruikers), dan wordt deze verklaring aangepast vóórdat die versie verschijnt, en vraagt de app daar apart toestemming voor.

SpoofGuard is an iPhone app that helps recognise caller-ID and SMS spoofing in the Netherlands. It is published by Alpha Pulse B.V., a company established in the Netherlands ("we"), which is the data controller under the GDPR. This policy explains which data the app uses and, above all, which it does not.
SpoofGuard collects no data and sends nothing anywhere. There is no server, no account, no analytics and no advertising. Everything you enter stays on your own iPhone, in the storage Apple reserves for the app. We cannot see it.

Deleting the app deletes this data.
When you add a number to your list, the app may ask for access to Contacts. This is used solely to warn you when that number is in your Contacts, because iOS then always shows the contact card and ignores every call-filter app. The comparison happens on the device. The app does not read out, store, copy or transmit your contacts, and it works without this permission.
The SMS filter assesses messages from unknown senders on your device. Apple's rules for SMS filter extensions technically prevent such an extension from storing messages or sending them to a network; SpoofGuard does neither. Messages from people in your Contacts never reach the filter.
If you choose SpoofGuard as your reporting app, you can report a call or message via "Report Junk". The report is stored on your device only. If you also choose "Add to Apple's block list", iOS performs that block itself; SpoofGuard transmits nothing.
The app ships with a copy of the public Register of assigned telephone numbers of the Dutch Authority for Consumers & Markets (open data, CC0). It lets the app show, on the device, which organisation a 0800, 088, 0900 or 14xx number is assigned to. No internet lookup is involved.
Below an assessment there are buttons to third-party websites (such as tellows.nl and a search engine). Tapping one opens that site in Safari, and that site's privacy policy applies from there. The app itself sends nothing to those sites.
SpoofGuard contains no code that connects to a server. There is nothing to share, sell or leak.
The app is not directed at children and collects data from no one.
Should a future version add a feature in which data leaves the device (for example voluntarily sharing reports with other users), this policy will be updated before that version is released, and the app will ask for separate consent.
